AboutMe

I'm a journalist and film-maker, with many years experience in the world of writing, broadcasting, magazine editing, photography and film making.

On BBC Radio 4 I was an investigative journalist with consumer champion Roger Cook, and sometimes presented the programme. In the USA I was a freelance foreign correspondent, writing for the British press. For many years, I ran my own successful video production company, Look-Hear and have produced over 100 short films.

I was Deputy Editor of Miss London magazine; an Editor at New Internationlist magazine, for whom I also edited a United Nations newspaper about the world's problems called, 'Yes But What Can I Do?' My articles have been published by a wide range of newspapers and magazines, including The Guardian, The Independent, the Daily Mirror, British Medical Journal, etc.

My career as a journalist started as a teenager while I was still at college, when I persuaded the Editor of the Watford Observer to let me edit a page every week for young people called 'Accent on Youth'.

My specialist areas are health, human rights and the European Union.
